Respectable
And
Valuable
Employment
Rewarding Paws. Empowering People. Supporting Community.
At FIRSTwnc, we believe in creating opportunities that uplift everyone—humans and animals alike. That’s why we created RAVE Dog Biscuits—a wholesome treat for your furry friend that also supports meaningful employment and skill-building for individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose RAVE?
RAVE stands for Respectable and Valued Employment—a program that offers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities hands-on training and real work experience in every step of our biscuit-making process. When you buy a bag of RAVE Dog Biscuits, you’re not just rewarding your pup—you’re rewarding the incredible efforts of people working toward independence and inclusion.

Our biscuits are:
- Made with simple, all-natural ingredients (like oat flour, peanut butter, and pumpkin)

For a Purpose
Every bag you buy helps:

Meet Our Partners
Aside from an amazing array of local shops, RAVE collaborates with two special businesses to further our mission.
Fika’s Freaky Friends: We partner with dog toy makers, Fika’s Freaky Friends. With their whimsical toy designs for the pups and focus on mental health for their humans, the company offers a collection of unique toys that are available across the nation. Explore their Pastry Pals Bundle, complete with a free bag of RAVE biscuits.
Maran Makes It: We bundle our treats with dog-themed, hand-tied fleece blankets from the local small business, Maran Makes It. Centering around community connection and customer service, Maran Makes It spreads warmth and comfort one blanket at a time in the Asheville-Hendersonville area. This microenterprise is part of FIRSTwnc’s AbilitiesFIRST microenterprise coaching program.
