Erin graduated from Winona State University, in Minnesota with two undergraduate degrees in Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation and Leisure Studies. While in college she ran a summer camp for adults with disabilities in the Chicagoland area. After college she moved to England, where she got her Master’s degree from the University College of Birmingham and continued her work supporting people in group homes and with independent living. Erin then moved to Calgary and spent the next 10 years working with individuals with ultra-complex needs. In Canada she was running a pilot program for the Provence of Alberta to move individuals with high levels of behaviors into community settings. Erin received her MBA while in Canada.

She moved to Asheville in the summer of 2018 and has been running My FIRST Key since. With over 20 years of experience working in this field, Erin has a tremendous amount of passion for the work that she does and strives for our folks to have as much independence as possible. She is a strong advocate for the individuals she works with and loves to see the growth that happens with individuals when they have a place to call their own.
