Kelsey Sanders

Kelsey is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), certified by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. She earned her degree from Western Carolina University in 2026 and began working at FIRSTwnc shortly afterward. Kelsey enjoys working with both children and adults, with clinical training focused on supporting individuals with I/DD.

Kelsey uses person-centered and strength-based approaches and incorporates modalities such as Child-Centered Play Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also enjoys integrating expressive arts and bibliotherapy into her work.

In her free time, she loves hiking around WNC with her husband and two young children and growing giant sunflowers.
